Beat The Streets is an annual charity music festival held across Nottingham city centre. Since launching in 2018, we’ve had over 100 local and national music artists playing on stages in some of our favourite Nottingham City Centre venues, whilst also raising over £409,000 for Framework, the Nottinghamshire charity dedicated to bettering the lives of homeless people.
Each year all proceeds raised from ticket sales, merchandise and bar sales in Rock City, Rescue Rooms and The Bodega go towards helping the festival achieve its main aim; helping to eradicate homelessness in the city of Nottingham. So far the proceeds from Beat The Streets has enabled Framework to employ new members of staff including mental health, frontline and social workers, as well as enabling Sneinton Hermitage shelter to open its doors all year round and therefore accommodating more than 60 high risk service users.
The festival aims to bring together the local Nottingham community by curating a line up full of breaking acts, local heroes and chart-topping sensations, so far we’ve welcomed the likes of Sleaford Mods, Jake Bugg, Saint Raymond, Ferocious Dog, Eyre Llew, Rolo Tomassi, Circle of Light, Reflekter and Kagoule onto the bill, and we can’t wait to reveal what’s in store for our next event!
Beat The Streets is delivered by DHP Family in collaboration with local organisations and music groups including I’m Not from London; Farmyard Records; Hockley Hustle, and Rough Trade.
