This month, members of our team are setting out on a challenge to raise even more funds for Framework’s important work by running the Robin Hood Half Marathon.
The well-established race, which has been running (no pun intended!) for over 40 years, follows a 13.1 mile (21km) route from the Victoria Embankment, past Nottingham Train Station, through the Park Estate, Lenton and the University of Nottingham campus towards Wollaton, through the grounds of Wollaton Hall and back through Nottingham towards the Meadows, where runners will cross the finish line back at the Victoria Embankment.
Beat The Streets has so far raised a colossal £491,100 in support of Framework. As the total creeps ever closer towards a landmark £500k, the team are more eager than ever to keep the funds rolling in and reach the target, inspiring them to take on this challenge.
DHP Family’s Head of Marketing, Anwyn Williams, who will be running for Team Beat The Streets said: “We’re always thinking about how we can help Framework and do more as Beat The Streets to raise the important funds they need. We’re trying something a bit different here, but the levels of enthusiasm have been amazing – we’ve had lunch break training sessions and are constantly giving each other encouragement with our training. This is the first time quite a few of us have done anything like this at all, so it’s definitely going to be a challenge! We appreciate any support so please throw us a little donation if you can, think of it as the equivalent of buying a couple of pints at the festival in January!”
