Beat The Streets Privacy Policy

Beat The Streets aims to be a force for positive change, using the power of music and communities to help raise awareness and funds for the homeless community in Nottinghamshire. We’ve already made a tangible difference to the lives of the homeless with our initiative, but we can’t continue to do this without you! In this privacy policy, we’ll explain the types of information we collect about you, how we use it to help us raise as much awareness and funds for the homeless community as possible and how we use it to help make our fundraising events the best experience for you. Beat The Streets is a division of Daybrook House Promotions Limited (which will be referred to as DHP Family or Beat The Streets from here onwards). By opting in to Beat The Streets, you will also opt in to DHP Family’s other divisions.

DHP Family’s other divisions are as follows:

• DHP Family – live music promoter masterminding all of these associate companies!
• tickets – our ticketing platform, getting your tickets straight to your door.
• Oslo Hackney, The Garage and The Grace– Our venues in London
• Rock City, Rescue Rooms, Stealth and The Bodega – Our Nottingham venues.
• Thekla – Our venue in Bristol.
• Splendour in Nottingham, Dot To Dot Festival, Everywhere and MIRRORS– Our festivals, including Beat The Streets Festival.
• Women In Music – our event addressing the gender imbalance across the music industry

How we collect your information:

• When you buy a ticket to Beat The Streets.
• If you sign up to the official Beat The Streets mailing list
• If you respond to a promotion or enter a competition
• If you use our website
• If you contact us directly via email or on the telephone

 What we collect and why:

• Your first and last name –so we can make your experience with us more personal.
• Your email address – if you’ve decided to opt in to our marketing emails, we’ll make sure you’re the first to receive the latest news, event announcements, competitions and important event information.
• Your mobile number – so we can hit you up with the latest reminders and information straight to the device in your hand!
• Your musical preferences – We use this to understand our audience more and tailor our future events to your taste.
• Your birthday and age – we like to know your DOB and age so we get a better understanding of who our audience are and what they might be in to. By signing up to our mailing list or buying a ticket you’re confirming that you are over 13. If this is not the case, please email  datamanager@dhpfamily.com to have your details removed. We also use your D.O.B to make sure we’re not sending you any promotions related to alcohol if you’re under 18.
• Your IP Address and the type of device you use – like most companies we have Cookies installed on our website so that we can track visitors, which is a small piece of code inserted into our site’s HTML. We use our Cookies to target online ads about Beat The Streets to people who have visited our website. Check out our Cookies policy for more info on this. We can also tell what type of device you use to access our website, which helps us provide the best customer experience for you.

We want to make sure you get all the exciting updates from us that you might be interested in for as long as you are interested, so we’ll hold on to your personal information and contact details for 8 years after your last interaction with us. That interaction could be by booking a ticket, signing up to our mailing list or sending us an email. As for your IP address and device type, you can clear your Cookies at any point, and there is information on how to do that over on our Cookies policy.

Your rights

You have loads of rights when it comes to your data. We’ve highlighted them below:  

• The right to be informed about how your data is used and collected – hopefully we’ve covered any questions you have but if you have any more, please don’t hesitate to get in contact. 

• The right to request what personal information we have on file – you can request this by getting in touch via datamanager@dhpfamily.com. Please note that it can take us a little while to pull all of this together for you, but we’ll make sure we send it over no later than a month after you ask. 

• The right to make sure your information is correct and up to date – if you want to update any of your information, including your marketing preferences, you can email us and we’ll update this within a month.

• The right to ask us to move your data to another company in a safe and secure way – just get in touch and let us know!

If you decide that you no longer require any updates from Beat The Streets, that’s fine! You can opt out at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any emails we send you. Alternatively, you can get in touch with us directly via email with your details and we can sort that for you. Our contact details are listed below. Please be aware that unsubscribing you can take up to one month from when we receive your message.

If you feel like you want to say goodbye forever, we’ll respect your decision and delete all the data we hold on you, all you need to do is get in touch and make sure to include your name, address, and/or email address when you contact us.
